Adding the included space blanket can take you below freezing, and additional clothing or gear placed on top of the pad can push comfort levels into the 20s°F. The two‑layer design also traps warm air on mild nights, keeping you cozy without extra insulation.

The 4Season Explorer Zip XL includes a large compression sack designed to store both the hammock and insulation pad together, while the rainfly is stored separately in SnakeSkins to keep wet gear away from the hammock.
